Tie - One - On Celebration
The Breakfast Group held its 34th Annual Tie-One-On Celebration on Friday, April 11th, 2025. The event was sponsored by Turner Construction Company in partnership with the Fairmont Olympic Hotel.
The event is a motivational event with powerful speakers and the central purpose of the celebration is to honor the students by pairing each one with a member of the business or professional community, who acts as the student’s host for lunch.
During the event students and professionals exchange business cards and are encouraged for follow up guidance and assistance with employment opportunities or future education plans.
Each student receives a necktie and a dress shirt, a symbol of passage into adulthood. The “rite of passage” comes when the professionals teach the students how to tie the necktie. This is an important event that provides an opportunity for respected members of the community to mentor and bond with these young men.
This Celebration is designed to support a segment of our community that desperately needs our attention and support. Its key features and benefits for our students include.
